Anyone eaten here recently ? Still good ? My daughter and husband will be in Berkeley in a couple of weeks and want to eat well. Thanks.

I've only eaten at the cafe but reservations for the restaurant in a couple of weeks will be difficult. I want to eat here http://commisrestaurant.com/ the next time I'm in the East Bay.

The café is also where I've eaten many times.

I had Venga Paella cater a party. Fabulous! They have had a small restaurant in Oakland. I haven't tried it but wouldn't hesitate to give it a shot.

Thanks, Michelle, but we lived in Spain for many years and find paella here disappointing, if not downright bad. She may try Aziza when she's in SF. Nouvelle Moroccan cusine.

Bedar - I know what you mean about paella here. Eduardo is from Spain and want to try his place one of these days. Like supporting him.

We went several years ago and loved it. Check recent TripAdvisor reviews to see what they say. I'm going back the next time I'm in Berkeley.

I've always felt that Alice stole her tiara and thunder from Jeremiah Tower. But that's just me. Haven't eaten there lately.
