Car rental in Albuquerque

If I am not mistaken, there is a considerable difference in the cost of renting a car at the Albuquerque airport or in town. Is it fair to say that I should simply take the 10 mi. taxi ride to the in town rental agency rather than pick the car up at the airport?

Are you mistaken or not? Get quotes both from ABQ and from an in-town location and then add in $25 for the cab and see.

But it is so dang easy to rent from the Sunport . . .

After some more searching I have found that the difference without a Priceline bid is between $125 in town and $265 at the airport when all the extra fees are added. But I'll see what I can get when bidding on Priceline.

Yipes. At that point, your question is self-answering.

Is that for a week for an economy car or 2 days with a luxury car/SUV?
The bus east and west on Central Avenue (old US 66) is only $2/ride.

When? This is our busiest time of year with the upcoming Ballon Fiesta. Who are you looking at I town? There are lots on Enterprise locations, not so many other agencies.

How many days and much per day? Do you belong to Costco? I find they have best deals.

I just did a random check, and see about $30 all in, in both airport and in town, for economy car.
