I am finalizing dinner reservations for next week in New Orleans ... already have reservations at Bayona and NOLA. (We are not interested in restaurants that will require coat/tie). Only have two more nights ... have it down to Pelican Club, Mr. B's Bistro, or Dickie Brennan's Steakhouse. (Have decided to cancel at Bella Luna and go with two of these choices instead.) OK - Which one should I leave off the list?

Our one time experience at the Peican Club was: - Excellent food, beautiful room, friendly wait staff, BUT RUSHED.
It may have taken all of half an hour to order and eat a four course meal. We actually had a good laugh about it. Faster than McDonald.

Mr B's and Brennan's (especially for breakfast). the best, in my opinion, is Commander's Palace

Skip dickie Brennan's - it is overated and you can get a steak anywhere. Mr. B's is good, but a little too touristy and hurried. Pelican Club is my choice. It has a good ambience and is in a nice location for pre or post dinner strolling.

Dickie Brennan's is excellent (better than Ruth's Chris, in my opinion), as are Pelican Club and Mr. B's. They are three of my favorites. Pick any of the three and enjoy!

ps - you may be able to get a steak anywhere, but you can't get a GOOD steak anywhere!

Thank you all for your comments ... they have been very helpful. We decided to go with NOLA, Bayona, Mr. B's, and Pelican Club. Will try Bella Luna, Dickie Brennan's, etc., next time. ...Can't wait to get to New Orleans for these culinary delights!
