Boston College Tours

I am taking my high school daughter to tour colleges in New England the last week in March. I am not renting a car while we are in Boston. Looking for a nice hotel for our last night (a Wednesday) where there are shops and restaurants we can walk to. Electic type stores not designers. Was thinking The Charles Hotel in Cambridge. Suggestions?

Charles Hotel is basically in Harvard Sq so your daughter will get a chance to experience some of the college scene in Boston. Its a great choice.

Agree with bennie

Tons of restaurants and shops in Harvard Square.

I had an excellent meal at Rialto (inside Charles Hotel) several years ago. Don't know if it is still as good.

Check out the Sheraton Commander - also in Harvard Sq. Rates should be around $170

btb120-

You can also try Inn at Harvard and its sister hotel Harvard Square Hotel for "budget conscious guests" according to its website.
