Borders/Barnes & Noble in Sarasota?

I'm spending a week in Longboat Key and like to spend a few evenings per week at a Borders or Barnes & Noble Bookstore. Do they have stores in Sarasota?

There is an excellent, wonderful bookstore in Sarasota called Main Bookshop. It is several levels and claims to have the 2nd largest selection of remaindered books in the country (Strand in NYC is #1). You could easily spend a few evenings just in here.

I do know there is at least one B&N in Sarasota, but IMHO the Main Bookstore is a lot more fun.

Do they have a coffee shop with plenty of seating area? That's the main reason I like Borders and B&N.

Go to borders.com or barnesandnoble.com. I'm sure their websites have a store locator function.

Hi Postal

There's a Barnes and Noble on Tamiami Trial in South Sarasota with everything you'd like. Just go south on Gulf of Mexico Drive from LBK and cross the Ringling Bridge then go south on Tamiami Trail (Rt 41). Main Bookstore is also a great place to go and you might give it a try - sometimes they're better than our national chains!!

Enjoy Longboat - but I know you will.
