Big Island Hawaii car rental
I'm sure this has been asked several times before but I don't see it in a search---how much do the rental car companies charge to pick up a car in Hilo and return in Kona? Anyone does this lately?
thanks

Costco travel often has really good rates; check it out. Even if you aren't presently a member, you might save enough to make it worth joining. Free second driver and sometimes a gas credit card.

I may be wrong but I think drop off fees are pretty much on sliding scale of supply and demand at each airport to prevent having to hire a car carrier to move vehicles.
Simply go to one of the car sites and compare same location drop off with your dates to Hilo/Kona drop off.

I just booked two cars for September - rental fee for a week, Kona to Hilo, was the same as round trip in Kauai for the second week. (And if it applies, AARP also offers a discount with second driver fee waived.)
