Anyone else have an agent they can recommend? I don't need a 'package' deal with hotel, only trying to find great airfare.
I've emailed an agent that was suggested
by Classic Custom Vacations but they have not replied yet. It would not hurt to contact someone else, so keep the names coming!
Thanks!

Usually the only way you can get the really good airfare is by booking the entire vacation through a consolidator like classic custom vacations or pleasant hawaiiain. Suntrips is another company that offers airfare pkgs or Aloha Air. Although suntrips offers incredibly low RT fares I'd think twice about using then as they seem a little too "fly by night" for me. Don't know anything about their safety record but RT LAX-Maui is usually around $239pp.

I think Natalie is right about the total packages. I would suggest if you just need airfare to check cheaptrips.com, and to contact a local travel agent to see what kind of fares they can get for you. Blue Sky offers good fares to HI and only work through travel agents. If you plan your trip for Sept. thru Nov. you will get the bast fares from the airlines, cheaptickets, orbitz, etc. but you have to wait until after Labor Day for those to be listed. last Oct I found round-trip nonstop fare from St. Louis to Honolulu for about $440 and it is about $1100 right now, for example.

Thanks again everyone. I have not received any replies to any of the emails I sent out yesterday, except for Pleasant Vacations. They had decent price for air/hotel/car that threw in some extra coupons and such, but we just don't need anything but air. I checked Cheaptickets and they do have a decent airfare of $565..or something close, but AA website is just a tiny bit more. I'm having the hubby call AA and see if they will honor the web price...we'll see!
