Bennington to Concord NH

Need to take a 2 day trip in mid to late October, Thursday to Saturday. It looks like route 9 is the best way to go about 110 miles, how long should I expect it to last and what is the speed limit on 9
Thanks

Bennington to Concord is about 2 hours. Although Route 9 has been improved over the years, there are many speed limits to deal with between the two destinationsl You must go over the mountains, through Wilmington, a resort town that usually has quite a bit of tourist traffic and small, little spots where speed is a factor. It's definitely not a highway trip. Going North from Bennington and then East is another possibility but this way you are comparing miles to MPH. More highway travel that way but ultimately, I think Route 9 is the best from Bennington. Enjoy it..there is some great scenery.

Route 9 to Route 202 to I-89 is definitely the best way to go. But, I think it will take about 2-1/2 hours. The speed limit varies along Route 9, and you should heed the limits. The locals speed like mad, especially in Vermont, but they know the locations of all the speed traps.

There is construction on Route 9 east of Bennington, but nothing major. The scenery between Bennington and Keene is magnificent. Be sure to stop at Hogback.

Three hours is a good idea - "Leaf-Peepers" are out in force and if you're not familiar with the roads, it's a good idea to have a buffer. Are you staying in Concord, NH the entire time?

I am going to be in Bennington for work then need to go to Concord for a Social engagement. Someone is supposed to be taking care of hotel but yes I do believe I will be in Concord for the 2 days but will have some time to take in some sights.
