We haven't stayed there, but we have eaten dinner there -- excellent. If we ever get back up that way, we would probably stay there if we could.

Problem at Belton Chalet is the noise...Directly on Highway and "railwayfront"...So don't miss the earplugs...
Rooms are small, the bathroom to...
In this part , the best adress is Apgar Village Inn, directly on lake Mc Donald lakeshore...: quiet and large rooms and the lake from your room or balcony with sunsets and sunrises not to miss(better than highway and railway...).
For diner, Belton Chalet had 2 years ago an italian tendance...
I don't know this year, but you can check the menu on their website I think.
Near the gas station here, the Highland restaurant has a good trout, some basic(pastas, pizzas, steaks) and very good berries pies...
In Apgar, Eddie's is much more good than you can expect : trout is delicious, also the steaks and the pies are more than decent.

PS : Lk Mc Donal Lodge is also a good option : so if you like noise, Belton, otherwise Village Inn or Lk Mc Donald Lodge.
