Cannot help regarding the B&Bs. I think everyone from the Northwest wants to stay in the Ashland Springs (formerly the Marc Antony) at least once in this lifetime. It is iconic. I cannot say if it is good but they did quite the remodel on it.

Regarding seating: I have not actually been in the Elizabethan in many years, and was disappointed in how it was closed in on the back wall. I would try to get seats close enough that you are not under the overhang of the newish balcony. Sure it might protect you from the rain, but it was depressing back there.

I was there last month and stayed at the Ashland Springs. It was perfectly located, with their own parking lot just a block from the theaters. The staff was very friendly (we didn't require any help of any kind.) The room was very nice but tiny. If I go again (and I hope to) I will look into the Creekside Inn. Their rooms are lovely, with patios and kitchenettes. The location is also good. I think the b&b we saw that seemed to have a good location was the McCall. (Didn't go inside.) I'll check my info in the morning.

Also check out the Oregon page for recommendations on where to dine. BTW - attending the Festival on a warm summer night - when you can sometimes smell the lovely blooms - is just about as good as it gets.

Ronda, do you want to stay within walking distance of the Plaza/theatres or are ones a bit farther out OK?

Yes, would like be within walking distance. Only spending 2 nights so don't want to be driving back and forth. May be the only time I ever get to go.

Thanks for the tips on the theater seating. My friend just recommended the Marc Anthony so will have teo check it out. Also the Plaza. And I did see that thread on Dining In Ashland so that's next.

Just called and got our tickets. All the "orange" seats are gone but got some nice seats on the right in row B. The gal in the ticket office was very helpful. She first offered us seats under the overhang but taking your recommendations, opted for the seats closer to the front. THANKS. Now continuing on, need to book a room.

I think the Ashland Springs is a bit over budget but looks lovely. Trying to stay under $200 a night.

Ashland Creek Inn was what I was referring to. I would stay there in a minute! Went thru a couple of suites in April and thought it would be great, especially in warm weather.
