Airline Episode 3/1/04

Wow! What a show. I liked the way they had a "marriage" theme. I felt SO sorry for the wedding dress lady--I would have been livid, too! However, who CHECKS their wedding dress? If there was ever a thing to carry on, that would be it.

I also felt bad for the guy waiting for his girlfriend to propose...I wonder why she stood him up! Poor guy.

Oh, and the drunk lady--what can even be said about her? She seemed totally out of it, even when she sobered up a little. And did you notice when she mentioned that the guy she was marrying she met in the airport a MONTH ago? Yikes.

I think this was my favorite episode yet.

I enjoyed watching the Southwest employees party at the aircraft carrier in Oakland.

Fun show indeed!

Not that it should have happened to the wedding dress - but did you see it wasn't even in a garment bag. Just the white bag that the dress shop provides w/ any formal/wedding dress.

The good thing about it tho' was they had already had their wedding and the dress was mainly needed just for photos w/ the child. Just think how mad she would have been if she was on her way TO her wedding instead of on the way home afterwards. . . . .

I thought that 1-month was a hoot too. A drunk meets a guy in an airport and plans on marrying him one month later. Wanna bet hubby-to-be is either 1) a real winner too OR 2) not there when she lands.

Yeah, the gal with the wedding dress should have known better than to check it. Even though it was technically too big for carryon, I can't imagine that any SWA employee would force her to check something so valuable and irreplaceable!

I wish they would have followed up on the guy whose bride-to-be was a no-show. I would have liked to have known the outcome (although I hope he found out that he's better off without her). Felt sorry for him when he said he lost his wife and child in an accident.

Oh, and I know it wasn't funny (I would have been pretty upset) but I laughed when I saw how badly that wedding dress was mangled. Torn to pieces with tread marks all over it. SWA couldn't have ruined it anymore if they had tried.

It just amazes me how many people get tanked before they fly. I like a cocktail or two, but I've never been denied boarding. Bet she is still available if anyone wants her!!

The wedding dress fiasco....well let's just say that I would have never checked something in a plastic bag. She was a little nasty to the camera guy who asked her what happened.

A little resolution for the guy waiting would have been good. I can't believe that she didn't show up. He seemed like a nice guy

2 years ago, we went to the Scottsboro, Alabama 'Unclaimed Baggage Outlet'.

They had several wedding dresses and so much other stuff-it was kinda' depressing.

You could imagine all these folks at the airport-tearing their hair out!

What about the poor guy on his way to Vegas? He's having a few drinks with some girls that are also going there, and they pull him off the flight.

Why is Southwest so against someone having a cocktail or 2 before flying?

But the guy handled with class.
He also went to his car and drove home!

They also should have followed up with the guy who was going to propose and gave up his seat, only to have someone else give up their seat so he could catch the next flight. Would have been good to know if she said yes.

Also wonder about the drunk woman getting married after a month of knowing the guy. No doubt she would be hungover at her wedding. I think she was only saying she was getting married so that they would let her on the flight.

I also thought it was cute with the pilot and co-pilot getting married in Vegas!
