Advice about FLL airport
I posted this question in the air travel forum and the moderator suggested I try posting it here, where there are more people. My husband will be arriving at Terminal 3 (US Air) on Labor Day morning and has 50 minutes to make a connecting flight in Terminal 1. He will have gone through security already, has Global Entry/TSA precheck, and is traveling first class so he'll be first off the plane. No checked luggage. I will be waiting for him in Terminal 1 with his carryon. Can he transfer to terminal 1 without having to go through security again? Also, any tips on getting between terminals? He's a fast walker but are jitneys available and are they faster? I know this interval time is really close, but the lousy airline changed the connecting flight after we booked it and made it an hour earlier. The two flights are on completely different airlines. Thank you for any advice.

The problem with your post in Air Travel was that it contained a glaring typo that rendered it incomprehensible. But yes, this board is busier, and your new post makes sense, so you will get more responses for sure.
Question: when you say you will be waiting for him in Terminal 1, do you mean you are traveling, too, and will have gone through security, or will you be outside security? If the latter, he will obviously have to exit to get to you and then go back through security.

Actually, this is much clearer than your original post. When transferring terminals in FLL you always have to through security again, so this connection will be tight and may not be possible if your husband's flight is at all late.

There's complementary shuttle service between terminals but it's outside the secure area. It makes no difference that your husband has Global Entry/TSA PreCheck and that he is traveling First Class, he'll still have to reclear Security when he gets to Terminal 1.
I wish your husband good luck - he has a very tight connection.

You said he has Global Entry - does that imply he is arriving on an international flight and has to clear immigration & customs before going to Terminal 1? If so that adds another wrinkle into an already tight connection , Global Entry not withstanding!

It does make a difference that he has Global Entry (which also gives him Pre-Check clearance) and is in first class because it will help him both get off the initial flight and move through security much faster. That doesn't mean it's going to be easy.
