5-hour layover...what to do?

A friend and I (21 & 22 yr old) have a 5-hour layover on the way to Ireland Sept 1 and we want some advise on what to do for those 5-hours...Any suggestions?

Follow Frank's advice. You don't want to leave the airport for such a short time and it will take too long to get downtown, especially if you are lugging your luggage.

Read, have dinner, rent a day room in the airport hotel and chill, watch a movie.

Is 5 hours really all that long? Cut it back to 4 1/2 as you'll have to be at the gate by then for boarding.

The food on the flight isn't going to be anything special. You can easily kill two hours in a sports bar watching tv and having a good meal. Use the rest of the time to stretch your legs and get some exercise --- in preparation for being cramped up on the airplane for several more hours between Chicago and your final destination.

Start writing your trip report while sipping a cocktail.
