Health insurance for one month visit to USA

Hello,
I'm an American living in Tanzania who is about to move to Finland. The problem is that I'm traveling to the US for a month between moves and need health insurance for that time. Any suggestions on how to buy health insurance for only a month? I don't think I can buy travel insurance, because the only residence address that I'll have for that month is in the US. I also can't buy short term health insurance, because my state of residence (MA) doesn't allow it. Is there any type of short term insurance for expats moving back home/in between moves?

Thanks!
Kristen

Thanks thursdaysd. I did read that post, but unfortunately it recommends short term insurance, which is unavailable in my state (Massachusetts).

We purchased health insurance from an State Farm agent we knew for my ex-pat daughter living in Taiwan on her way to another country. It had a $1000 deductible and was pretty cheap.

Once when researching travel insurance I was steered here:
http://www.bupa-intl.com/

I didn't use them after all, so can't offer a review. They offer short term insurance worldwide starting at three month periods, if you don't come up with anything else.

Hi grauergk,
If you're looking for a private policy for Finland also then an international health insurance policy may be a good fit as it could provide cover in the USA also if you choose Wordlwide including USA as your area of cover.

If you're just looking to cover your trip to the USA then really you should be buying travel insurance as international health insurance is designed for long term (12+ months) expats. Could you use your new Finland address or current Tanzania address when signing up?
