Disneyland Area Eatery and Best Food in Vacation Destinations

Disneyland area - Anaheim - MUST eat Mexican food at a hole in the wall called Panchito's...have a Gordita (chicken) AWESOME!!! Tacos with chicken or beef and cilantro and onions and the salsa....or green sauce...out of this world!!! Everything here is great and inexpensive...a welcome change to Disney! It is on Chapman Avenue just off Harbor. Also, down the street, you can find an Italian eatery called Rufino's on Euclid that serves minestrone soup and great pasta, at the end, they give you a small taste of spumoni for dessert! Great find! Reasonably priced in an area where restaurants are highly priced due to area. BOTH worth finding! I live back in GA now and each time I visit CA, I try to make a trip to Anaheim just for Panchito's. Both are lacking in ambiance.,,but, who cares when the food....very casual dining is soooo good!!???

Also, want to go a little nicer? go down Chapman Avenue towards the small city of Orange (great square here to look for antiques, window shop, etc.) and find ChiliPeppers Restaurant (NOT CHILI's chain....) not even close....this restaurant in purple and orange and bright colors with bright neon lights is upscale, but casual...great food and sometimes the parking lot is full! Great food...locals know about this place!

On Chapman Avenue just before Lemon is a Thai restaurant in a small shopping mall....Can't tell you the name...but it is very good Thai food, and prices are reasonable!

In Brea, CA there is a great Rib place called Lucille's, and it is one of the best rib places I have ever eaten....this is a chain...Lucille's Smokehouse....but there are just a few of them scatered around the US. Try it! Worth the prices....which are not cheap.

Best Soft Shell Crab Sandwich I ever ate.....Surf City, NC at the Crab Shack.....GREAT!!!

Authentic Down Home Southern Food in Atlanta, GA.....Mary Mac's Tea Room.

Best Hotdog in the world......Huntington, WVA....yes, folks, I have been all over the world and the best hotdog is at STEWART'S Hotdogs on 5th Avenue in Huntington, WVA...get a root beer served in a frosted mug and 2 or 3 hotdogs and it is a FEAST~ Yes, even if you normally have a hard time eating one dog.....you will want 2 or 3 or more of these!!! Enjoy!

We are going to Seattle, WA (for the first time) in June and hope someone will see this and give us some tips on where to eat in Seattle!

I will post more in the future about Great Food.....

Hint: If you want more people to actually read your reviews, you should post them over on the United States forum. It is MUCH more active than this general Travel Tips board. Hundreds more folks will see it over there.

Also, if you are looking for tips on where to eat in Seattle, try posting that specific question in the US forums.

Our favorite place to eat is an place called Pasta Freska Ristorante. 1515 Westlake Ave. Go for dinner. The owner comes out and asks you what you like, fish, chick, ext, spicy not spicy. He makes up your menu for you. It is a full course meal. My husband got different food then I did. It is really really good.
