Had a great trip to Buenos Aires + Iguazu - thanks everyone

I will try to do a trip report in the next few days. But I just wanted to thank everyone for answering my questions and for all the great posts that answered questions I didn't ask. My worst glitches were two bee stings (in Iguazu) and a twisted ankle in Buenos Aires (but it didn't slow me down for more than a few hours). I had lots of interesting experiences, and it was a great trip.

Looking forward to your report. I'd be curious to know if you saw any mosquitoes while in Iguazu. We'll have a very short visit there later this year and haven't made a final decision yet on whether to get a yellow fever shot or not. I think I'm leaning towards going ahead and getting one.

Yes, I did see mosquitos, and although I used DEET, I got three mosquito bites in Iguazu. I had the yellow fever vaccination, but of course dengue fever is also a concern now due to a current outbreak. So get the vaccination, but also use DEET.

I am also looking forward to your trip report. I am curious about yellow fever and dengue. How far in advance of your trip did you get the vaccination?

How many recent cases of dengue have been locally reported? I nursed a friend to health who got dengue in Bali years ago. It was scary!!!

According to this article from a few days ago, there are over 100 cases in Buenos Aires.

rhkkmk, What's the 'buzz' on the mosquito problem in Iguazu? I hear a lot about the dengue fever. Did folks talk much about it there? I look forward to your trip report!

Will, absolutely stunning. I agree, one of the most beautiful places I have been as well. Your photos brought back such great memories. Thanks for posting.

BTW, Barbara Walters is there this weekend on vacation with a friend. Her first time to Argentina.
