Ferry to Colonia from BA

I am going to take fast ferry to Colonia from BA, just one way. How much it cost? Can I buy ticket to the ferry in BA in 2-3 days in advance, or I shall buy on-line. In Colonia I will spend a day and at the end of the same day I am planning to take bus to Montevideo.
Where in Colonia I can find place to store luggage for the day, how much it can cost? And how often buses running between Colonia and Montevideo, and price for the bus ticket.
Thank you.

Hi masik

A website for information on the ferry to Colonia is - http://www.buquebus.com/cache/HomeARG.html. This is with Buquebus, but there are other companies that can provide the service. I just had a quick look, and the price starts from around $100 Arg pesos for a one way trip (web promo and depending on the time of day).

There is a place to store luggage at the bus terminal. It is open from 9am to 8pm and the cost is around $50 pesos (UY) per hour for a suitcase size.

Info on the buses can be found at the Tres Cruces website. A link to the Colonia - Montevideo buses is - http://www.trescruces.com.uy/horario...uscar=Busqueda

The price for the bus ticket will be around $200 (UY)

Suerte!

It is also worth mentioning that Buquebus has 2 competitors that often offer cheaper prices:

Thankyou melinbsas for the information regarding the two competitors, how would you rate them?
Do they leave from the same area in either port?

Do they use Aliscafos ?

FYI - not sure what your physical situation is but you do not need to take a bus into Colonia from the port. It is maybe a 10 - 15 minute walk into town along pretty lined streets. We took the Buquebus and bought tickets the day before from our hotel. I imagine most hotels can do that for you.
