Looks like airfares keeps rising! Have been waiting for airfares from Seattle or Portland OR to get "reasonable" and it seems to be going up each time I check...I was hoping to find something for around 400.00 or less per person. We leave on 2/14/03 returning on 2/21/03. Anyone know of any great fare deals happening?? Thanks for any info..Kathy

I've been to PV from Seattle 15 trips now. Never found flights under $400 in the past 10 years. Maybe there are consolidators or air/hotel package deals you could look into, I'm not familiar with this.<BR><BR>I flew Alaska (nonstop!!!) last week for $446 and thought that was a good price. Plus the nonstop thing is heavenly (instead of transfering planes SF, LA, or Phoenix like you usually do).

I booked a package rate in October for February with hotel and air out of Portland with my travel agent, the air portion was at 405 with all the taxes and we got the hotel at a discount too. Maybe you could try a package. I really don't think it is realistic to expect to get it for less than 400.

If you look at site like Expedia, there are $348 fares from Alaska, Mexicana, United, and America West from PDX covering the period of interest. But even if these seats are still available, what makes it hard for you is that you are leaving on Friday to a resort city, a tough combination to get a discount fare.

I've been carefully watching airfare from PDX to PVR for over a month now. After seeing a great deal of the flight and our preferred travel days/times sell out, I finally booked six RT tickets at $484 each including taxes, fees, etc ($95!). Well maybe airfare will drop a bit in the next month or so, but availability of seat seems to be selling quick.
