Airfare to Honduras and other tips
I will be going to Latin America for my first time in November to visit a friend who's working in Tegucigalpa around thanks giving. SO excited!
I just found airfare for $727. Should I buy now or is that still really high? It seems ok to me, but is it better to wait since I have so much time and see if I can get some fantastic deal?
Thanks so much!

Depending on your days of the week $676 seems to be a more typical price. Try Kayak.com . You could also register on some of the cheapie airline sites for notification if the fare you're looking for drops. I tend to do my research that way and then buy through the airline itself. Have a great visit and be sure to tell us all about it. Happy trails!

I've noticed that American Airlines has a Fall fare sale for Latin America and posts the sale fares in Sept. That's what sold us on going to Honduras several yrs ago.
Saw the same fare sale when researching a Nicaragua trip for last October.

If you are flying back and going through Atlanta, be sure to allow a long layover. It was storming in Atlanta so it took Delta over an hour and a half to get our luggage on the carousal. Since we had to take our luggage through customs with us, we had to wait for it. Our 2 hour layover was not long enough, our plane was overbooked and they shut the doors early, Delta would get us on standby so we could maybe leave the next day, etc. So we rented a car and drove 8 hours throughout the night to get home. Don’t you just love the airlines!!!!
