To Xplor or Xcaret? Humm???
Going in July to Riviera Maya. What is better, Xcaret or Xplor? I've never went zip linning, would love to go in caves on a raft. Just looking for a great adventure. If you have any other fun ideas in riviera Maya area let me know. Thanks : )

You can do a boat ride or swim the river at Xcaret. There's a lot to do (lots of people as well of course). The night show is something else--especially the first half.
Snorkeling in cenotes like Dos Ojos, in Yal-Ku lagoon, or in Akumal bay are all great adventures.
We recommend Edventures.

If you're really into nature, do a tour of Sian Ka'An.

Xcaret and Xplor are very different, but I've enjoyed both. Xplor is definitely more focused on the zip lines. Xcaret is more focused on Mexican culture, however there are still activities to keep you busy. There is the underwater river and lagoons to swim in. For an additional fee you can swim with the dolphins there. As RAC mentioned there is the night show which is great - although quite long! Xcaret has some animals and a butterfly garden. It's a very full day park. The food at Xcaret is not included in your admission, if that makes any difference. At Xplor you have a lunch buffet that's included. At Xplor many people find the raft float a bit dull, but my husband and I just liked floating along. The buggy ride isn't fast, but we enjoyed it. When we went it wasn't crowded and they let you zip line more than once if you wanted.
There are packages where you can book Xplor and Xcaret, and even Xel Ha and get discounts if you book them all at once.
I would look at both websites at all of the activities offered at both parks and see which you prefer if you can only pick one location. Also, if the zip lining is what you prefer, then go for Xplor.
You can also decide when you get there. The tour reps at your resort will be able to help you make your decisions.
