RT Airfare -- BA to Mendoza

Greetings all-
We will be traveling to BA and Mendoza in March and trying to decide if I should go ahead and book my flights to Mendoza. Aerolineas Agrentinas has better flight times for us than LAN, cost is about the same -- $325pp RT. We are traveling Thurs-Sun so I know that is peak pricing. Is this about average for the fares or might they go down?

Thanks.

Fares are rarely discounted and over the past few years the price has only risen (substantially). If you are ready to book now then I can think of no reason to delay. You might like to note that in all forums the current preferred airline (for reliability/stability) is LAN. You may find it worthwhile to look at recent postings, here and elsewhere, concerning choice of carrier, before making a final decision.

LAN also has a LANpass sort of discount flights, but only if you take at least 3 flights.

Because of free frequent flyer points and awards, I find myself stuck in SCL, with a need to get to BA and then to MDZ in March.

LAN prices for these two flights are at about $529 pp. However, fudging a third flight from MDZ on LANpass to SCL brings the cost down to $420.

The plan is to schedule the last "fictional flight" after I've actually left the country/region in order to save the $100+.

It's early yet and petrol prices are plummeting. So wait a month or three and see what's happening.

Hi Lan is a better choice than AA. Although last year our LAN flight between Mendoza and Buenos Aires was re scheduled on the last minute like 8 or 9 hours...can you believe it.? I sent a report to Tripadvisor saying that thanks to our travel agent who happened to be WOW Argentina, we did not go to airport for the original departure time and WOW send a car who took us to Escorihuela winery had a tour and a great lunch. I feel that a travel agency that does it work is a big asset , one can ask a question HOw much have I paid for these 9 hours that the airliner in a way is forcing me to though away? A lot, so all though disappointing we had a great day .Of course we spent more in Mendoza but it was worth it, also WOW cancelled the BUenos Aires we had
scheduled for that afternoon. So we spent less money that day in Buenos Aires.

Sorry I made a few mistakes but I hope you got the idea
I meant of course that the airliner with the re schuduled flight tends to make us loose valuable time.
And that WOW cancelled our activities in BUenos Aires not the hotel because we arrived in the early evening.
