I actually sent the link to a customer that we have booked into Bosque for two full weeks in December. They are staying at Orquideas Inn too. It is good for them to see pictures from an independent source.

I have not been to Bosque del Cabo in a couple of years. Although Phil and Kim have visited us here New Orleans, (Kim is originally from Louisiana.) The pictures remind me how beautiful this lodge and the forest are.

Wow, those photos are gorgeous! We are going to Bosque del Cabo in November and are so torn over whether to request the Mariposa cabina or the Congo cabina (view or privacy?)...the La Palma looks wonderful too....! Can't wait.

Thanks so much for your glowing compliments. We certainly had fun trying out our new camera (Nikon d80). Actually took close to 500 shots, saved about 300, printed out 200 and posted to the gallery just over 100 of the better ones. Isn't this technical age a hoot? Thanks again all.

You did get the sloth! Nice pictures. Loved the leaf-cutter ant shots. I'm not real techy with camera stuff-but did you use a macro type lens for the ants and polarizing lens for the wonderful blue hues of water?

If you went again-would you stay in jungle cabinas again? I hear it's very hot, but you see so much more wildlife.

What great photos! Just excellent--you certainly captured the essence of BdC. The dogs on the runway photo amused me because part of our crew reported the dogs chasing their plane upon landing. They thought that was a hoot!

Monkey photos and spider photos were especially good--thanks again for taking the time to dress them all up a bit--how creative you are!

Really great pics, never had a chance to look into Casa Teca - really nice! Love seeing the new loungers at the pool, could never get comfy on the older plastic ones. Thanks for posting!

cbflowers - in answer to your questions... No we didn't use a macro for any of the shots. We had one lens for our Nikon d80 - a 18-200mm Vibration Reduction lens which is equivalent to a 27-300mm on a digital camera like the d80. It's a high quality but compact lens and the closest it allows you to go is 7" from the back of the camera which means about 2" from the front with the lens fully extended.

Yes, the polarizing lens is a must for the beach. Of course it helped that it was such a gorgeous week. There was no touch up done to the colors from the software - it was really that vibrant.

We would definitely stay in Casa Teca again. It really wasn't that hot for us in February - might be more uncomfortable during the rainy season. We used the fan right when going to bed - a little uncomfortable for the first 20min or so - but then so tired from the hikes went to sleep quickly. By the middle of the night, I was turning off the fan. It was such a great experience waking up with the jungle - it really is much louder than at the lodge. Splitting our time was a nice (and more affordable) way to go. It was nice to then also experience the sunrises from the cliff and be close to the pool for a couple of afternoons.

shillmac - yea the dogs actually played on the runway for about 5+min. One of the workers had to go run them off (wonder if that was part of his job description). I think it was an unusual experience because our pilots were shaking their heads, laughing and taking pictures through the front window as we were waiting.

To All - I just created and added to the gallery a 16x20 poster from our trip. (I'll know in a week or so if it turns out as well as I hoped when I get it back from Shutterfly). It's the last picture in the set.

Also, I've opened the gallery up to anyone if they want to purchase any of the pictures from Shutterfly. Note: I don't get anything back from Shutterfly, it's just a gift to all the Fodorites that helped make my trip so fabulous.
