Hotel In Mexico - Help!

We're not knowledgable about Mexico and are planning a trip there next winter. We're pretty sure that we would like to stay at the Royal Hideaway as recommended by our travel agent. I am wondering if anyone could suggest a better place . . .

We'll be travelling in February (over a school vacation which is why we need to plan now). We're looking for a hotel with a long beach for walking, all-inclusive or meal plan options, relatively small (under 300 rooms), excellent food, and few children around or no children at all.

What would you recommend?

Royal Hideaway sounds like it'd be great for you. It gets AAA 4 stars, and almost everybody at Tripadvisor.com loves it...
I can personally reccommend the JW Marriott in Cancun. The best rooms have incredible ocean views and are very, very nice.

I agree w/Frankie the Royal Hideaway is an Adults Only resort located about 45 minutes from Cancun it's so much more peaceful than Cancun. If you want to be in Cancun Then the JW Marriott is the best place it's the best hotel in Cancun right up there w/the Ritz. Try trip advisor.com

A better place than Royal Hideaway? You're not going to find one! It's a fantastic place to stay. It sounds like it meets all your needs.

Yes I agree with the others - You described the Royal Hideaway and it is certainly a luxurious vacation. Intimate, great long beach, gourmet food and beverages, concierge service if you want it. No one under 16 years of age. Truly a lovely place to stay and worth the money.

Check out the Royal resorts in Cancun at www.royalresorts.com. Time share rentals. Royal Sands and Royal Carribbean are awesome. 2bdrm oceanfront condos at unbelievable prices, awesome pools and beach, food, service, activities, rooms are beautiful and brand new. We rent at each of their properties every year. Easy to get rid of the time share rep. who will try to make an appointment with you. No big deal, honestly, blow him off.
