Hilton Cabo San Lucas?

Has anyone stayed at this resort? Is it nice, do the rooms all have ocean view or ocean front, balconies, etc. How is the pool, how is the beach? Any info is greatly appreciated. First time to the area. Still deciding on where to go... (Bahamas, Cancun, Cabo, Ixtapa). Want to do deep sea fishing. Bahamas and Cabo are best for that. Thanks!

We just returned from a 9 night stay at the Hilton Los Cabos. It was fantastic. All of the rooms had ocean views and the pools are spectacular. We spent most of our time in the infinity pool - the beach is not safe for swimming. The hotel is not in town - you have to pay for ($10 each)and take the Hilton shuttle or a cab ($22). The shuttle was very reliable and the driver had great restaurant suggestions. When we go back to Cabo, we plan to stay in town (maybe the Melia San Lucas or the Hacienda). The restaurants and bars at the Hilton were very good - we enjoyed. We did go out fishing and had a blast!

Thanks for the info, greatly appreciate it. On the website it says it has the best beach, so glad to hear your opinion on that. As long as it has a nice pool we will be OK.

Thanks again.

Ellen-

Any suggestions for dinner or activities. We are going to be in Cabo at the end of June, staying 5 nights at the Fiesta Americana and 2 nights at the Melia San Lucas. We have 3 evenings that are not planned for dinner and would love a variety of suggestions: cheap authentic meal, very nice dining experience, etc. Thanks for your help.

We really enjoyed our meal at The Office (within easy walking distance from the Melia) - dinner for two with drinks and tip about $120. Mazatlan (near Squid Roe) was great - recommended by the Hilton's bus driver - 7 of us ate and drank (alot) for about $140 plus tip - great food - not a tourist joint for sure. We also enjoyed Margaritavilla on the pier - dinner and drinks for two around $40. Also really liked Baja Cantina on the pier (far end) - good food and great prices. Need more info - let me know - you'll love both of your hotels - they looked fabulous!

My husband and I spent 6 nights at The Hilton in May and LOVED it. It was a great resort and we thought the beach was really nice. I think it's one of the few where it is safe to swim. All rooms have ocean views, rooms were very clean and nice. The ocean was fabulous and the pools at the Hilton were also wonderful. We did have to rent a car to go exploring as it's not convenient to either Cabo San Lucas or San Jose. We also drove up the Pacific Coast to Todos Santos for a day and that was really fun. Have a great trip!
