Gala Playacar - Hacienda section

Any information on the Hacienda section of Gala Resort. How far is this section away from the beach? Is it worth the extra $$.

We will be a family wedding party ages ranging from 2 to 60+.(some of the group have travelled extensively - others this will be a first time experience).
Do you think this resort is a good choice for our group?

We stayed at the resort a few years ago when it was called the Royal Meava. I don't know about the Hacienda's, but the resort was very nice. It should work out well for a group.

Probably too late for originator, but ..

The Hacienda section is a 2-5 minute walk from main area, much quieter, and more peaceful. The main resort area bustles with activity from 9:00am-11:00pm. The haciendas have 10 rooms/building plus a small private pool, only good for small kids and quick dips.

The resort is great. Spent 10 days in Aug 2002 and expect to go next summer also.

www.playadelcarmen.com has more good info on the area.
