February in Cano Negro?

I just read that the water level is greatly reduced in Feb. Does that make it easier or more diffficult to see wildlife? Is it still worth a trip? Thanks!

The lower water levels concentrate wildlife. This is a good time to visit Cano Negro.

Thank you! I know that's true of the water holes in Africa. I was hoping that would be true at Cano Negro as well. I was afraid that perhaps the boats wouldn't be able to navigate the lower water courses. Not a problem? Or, are there other ways in?

You should have no problem. I've been in Feb -- the water is not so low that a boat can't go through. There's another similar area to see wildlife -- Pena Blanca -- and I guess water might be a little lower there at times so we went through on a raft. That was a fun way to do it and we saw the same things that we saw at Cano Negro. It did get a little hot because there was no cover like the boats have.

Thanks Sandy!
Alas I think those two trips will have to wait until next time. So many places...too little time, too few $$$'s. After this message I am going to post my proposed itinerary for critique. Your feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Happy travels!
