I'll be heading to Nicaragua for Semana Santa 2015 (and more time as well) on my own. Wondering if anyone has recommendations on which cities and festivities I should attend. I suspect might include Leon and Granada as I notice special tours involve these cities (but I don't want to sign up to a tour). I love participating in local arts and culture. Also recommendations on inexpensive private room accommodations would be much appreciated - considering looking at hostels. I'm thinking it might be a good idea to book now if these places get busy during holy week.
