december weather in CR
So after much deliberation, we have planned our honeymoon for this december in costa rica. Our itinerary is as follows:
3 nights at bosque del cabo
2 nights at lost iguana
4 nights at paradisus playa conchal..
I am getting nervous about 1)the weather.. I know it will be the end of the rainy season and I've heard it's been a real rainy season this year. I wanted to know if anyone's been recently (especially down to the Osa), and what the weather's been like, i.e.raining in afternoon or all day or what.
And 2),getting nervous that I was a little too ambitious when planning the trip... Does this sound like too much travel for the 10 days??
Thanks!

Hard to tell -
Are you flying into SJO or Liberia?
What times are your International arrival and departure?
Assume you are using domestic air travel to the Osa - have you allowed enough time to make your domestic flight?
How are you traveling to Arenal and Northern Pacific Beach Area?
You have not allowed a night in the beginning or end of your trip for an overnight near SJO - assuming your International flights must be early arrival, late departure?
Tell us a bit more.

We arrive in SJO at 11AM, our flight for PJ leaves at 315PM.. I thought this would be enough time in between.. I guess we'll keep our fingers crossed.
We stay at BdC for 3 nights, then leave in the AM back to SJO, where we have hired a driver to take us to Arenal (lost iguana). We are there for 2 nights, then again a driver to Playa Conchal for 4 nights. We have an afternoon flight out of LIR.
Any thoughts?

I know the country very well, and your itinerary does not sound fine. Please look at http://home.austin.rr.com/ticopage/plan1.htm, you can see an itinerary close to one you will be doing.
The weather in Costa Rica is either Dry Season or Rain Season, the temperature is around 70s all year round and a bit hot on the costs (85s), Nov and Dec is pretty much dry. Please make sure to tell your driver that you would like to enjoy the drive and there is no need to get there in a hurry! - It will be a fun trip. AA

tam2008 - yes this looks great, not too ambitious - Relax!!
Assuming your international flight is running on time, you will have more than enough time to make your domestic flight. Maybe even get out on an earlier flight.
BTW - if you are flying Sansa, they fly out of SJO - if flying Nature Air, then you will have about a 45 min ride over to the Tobias Bolanos airport.
Have a great time - and Best Wishes!
