Costa Verde, Quepos

Is anyone familiar with Hotel Costa Verde in Quepos. I am thinking about reserving a Studio Plus for 3 days in January. The web site looks very nice. Any feedback?

I've stayed there twice, once in a studio and once in a studio plus. The studio plus is definitely worth the extra money! Exact same size in every respect but the plus have outstanding views. I've enjoyed my stays there, 2 nice restaurants right there (Anaconda & La Cantina across the street), plus El Avion is right up the road. They booked several day trips for me as well without any problems, they have a cheap laundry service and almost always monkeys about.

We were a little disappointed with the indifference/disgruntledness of the staff, but room-wise thought it a terrific value! Enjoyed the Studio Plus with the great view. Wow!

We enjoyed our stay at Costa Verde last November. The view from our Studio Plus room was incredible! We had breakfast on the balcony (watching a sloth in a nearby tree) every morning.

If it is just adults in your group, you'll want to book at Costa Verde II. This is an adults only section. Its views are nicer and pool is newer.

We stayed in building B in the older section as we had teenagers. It was clean and a good value. Studio Plus is the way to go.

Our group stayed in both CV and CVII this summer, one corner studio plus in each building. The views were identical. The studio plus in CVII was larger, lots of floor space, but unairconditioned with screened windows. The kitchen area was also larger with a bar and seats. There isn't anything luxurious about either CVII or CV; its those expansive ocean views that make both good choices. And the price makes it a good value.

We were able to receive a 15% discount---thanks to a friend who used to post on this board--so we paid just a little over $100 per night for each room. I'd have to check, but it seems like that included breakfast and taxes.
