Haven't stayed at either, but the best economical place I've considered after lots of research is Cabinas las Caletas. Have you checked it out yet? I've stayed at Drake Bay Wilderness Resort...it's a good option if you want a place that has a pool and it has great cash discounts.

We stayed at Finca Maresia, and got fantastic value for our money. Much nicer accomodations than you'll find in town.

Cabinas Manolo has one of the best location in Drake bay, they also offer tours and activities with breakfast included which is inique in Drake Bay.

If you want more information, please, visit their wepsite www.cabinasmanolo.com.

Both are good, clean and run by nice people.

Cabinas Manolo is a little more backpacker.
Jade Mar is a slight upgrade from that.

Both can make arrangements for a trip by boat to Corcovado

Enjoy your Osa Experience.

Why limit it to just those options? There are quite a few inexpensive hostels/cabins in drake bay. I use this tool to find whatever is nearby where I want to stay:

I have stayed at Ranchitos Las Cotingas. It was a simple setup but the view was unbeatable.
