Yrs! Because after a rain it is necessary in warm, humidity climates. While "OFF" under and over clothes (don't forget your feet and neck) is normally sufficient we use "Ben's" which is a liqued (in a small orange plastic container-can get at a Campmore or similar outdoor equipment store). It has 90% DEET=not 30%- and a little all over is 99% insurance from bug bites. Even sand flies which come on the beach in the late afternoon are warded-off by "Ben's". Hope this Helps.Enjoy!

3M's Ultrathon is top rated by CR.
The swarming Africanized bees in the Darien jungle of Panama avoided us, but "attacked" others.

Most authorities, including the Center for Disease Control, now advise that there is no increase in effectiveness in DEET concentrations over 50%, and that the new formulations at 33% offer protection for up to 8 hours.

I just have to say...I've been to PDC in the months of Jan., May, August and have never had a problem with mosquitos.

I have to agree with Pepper--I have been there at all times of the year and never used any type of bug spray. Never had the first problem.

The last time I was in PDC was during the month of May, and I came back with nice little bug bites all over my legs.
