women's plus-size clothing in Paris

I'll be in Paris in three weeks and wanted to find some women's clothing shops that sell plus-size clothing. I know that French women are smaller than American women. I'm looking for clothing in ~size 22-24. Can anyone help, please?

Bonjour Donna,
The type of clothing store you are looking for caters to "femmes rondes" (sounds nice, doesn't it?). Ask your hotel to help you with a list of stores. The major department stores may have specialty sections for you.
Marina Rinaldi is an upmarket store solely for plus size women and will have a full range of clothing for you, but it's somewhat expensive.
Outside of Paris, there are plenty of French "femmes rondes" (and plenty of French men who like them that way) but in Paris itself, you'll see mostly small boned, very skinny women. Tant pis!
Jeanne

What a hoot. As a size 22 myself, I have always been amused at the changing of terms. "Oh, you're looking for the "women's" department, not the "misses". "You need the full figure department". And I thought Plus size was an insult that was meant to be kind. But from now on I am going to be a femme rondes.
Elaine -

I'm not thrilled about some of the names used for stores that cater to larger styles, but what can they do? What term in English would you find descriptive enough but not insulting?

Donna. Somehow I got on a Marina Rinaldi mailing list and get these wonderful booklets with outfits to die for inside. Things that I have never seen anywhere except in New York. Anyway, some of the outfits are $2000 complete! But are they lovely. Thanks Jeanne for letting me know they are French. So Donna, if you do see one of the stores, you should just go in to look at the clothes.
