I was complaining about the same thing a couple of weeks ago. I know this is the time of year I have bought "reasonably priced" tix PIT-CDG for March. This year they are the same price for March as they are in May.
My guess is that IF USAirways is still flying in March, we will see some discounted tix after first of year, but who knows? Good luck!

Hi KG6C,
I just bought tickets last week to Paris from San Francisco for mid-Feb and it was around $500 per person. This week Air France has a companion sale going on. The first person pays the full fare and companion pays something like $100(?) I didn't want to look into it, because it's obvious...I bought my tickets already and I don't want to see!

As already mentioned, Easter is early in 2005 and if you're flying out of Philly, then there are only a limited number of seats available on the lone flight US Airways has to Paris each day, which means that all of the other airlines will be full. It's also spring vacation and rates are always higher when more people are flying.
If you're planning on going, then you had better start looking for a hotel because of the spring fashion shows that will be in full swing during this period. Hotels will be full and a little more expensive.

In October I bought the cheapest tickets I've ever seen from Cincinnati to Paris. Depart March 10th return the 20th for $395USD.
When I'm really, really looking for tickets I check every morning for months.

David - I don't know what time you are flying out of Cincy but I usually stay at one of the airport hotels. Several have free parking in the hotel lot and shuttle to the airport so it's cheaper to pay a hotel room than longterm airport parking.

Thanks kybourbon. Luckily my Dad only lives 1 hour and 20 minutes from the Cincinnati airport. He drops me off and picks me up.
I think it's fun to play with people there on a layover: "No you aren't in Ohio, you're in Kentucky...".
