Who knows about Hotel Familia?

I have been searching for a moderately priced hotel close to the Seine. Originally I was looking at 3 star hotels. However, I found some 2 star hotels that looked good. I prefer a room with a balcony, or a view. That is how I found Hotel Familia. Acording to the web page, it is in the 5th district, about 4 blocks from the river. Has anyone else stayed there, or do you know of other hotels in the area that I should consider? My price range is approx. $100.

John,
Dude, don't sweat it! There are repeat questions here all the time, but if you're new, there's just no way to know it. If you've ahem...been around a little, you know that you can probably pull up some older threads, that's all.
We're all here to help each other, so I hope the other threads helped.
G'day,
Topper
Incidentally, Hotel Familia is a great choice. Great location, reasonably priced, clean. Go for it and stop off at the weekend farmers market close by at the place Maubert-Mutualite.

Here are a bunch of various comments from people who stayed there:
Hotel Familia (2 star left bank)-
friendly, cheerful, convenient - not luxury or fancy
good if you seek simple surroundings, comfort, friendliness and convenience
our room was tiny - the manager very unaccomodating
For a hospitality business, the attitude was not helpful
no help from the management
pleased with the value
room was small
would not stay here twice.
rooms and hotel in itself were not too attracrive
desk clerks were very friendly and helpful
walls were EXTREMELY thin - heard conversations, snoring
small room sweetly decorated and very clean.
The service was excellent
For more Paris information e-mail me – [email protected]
