Where to travel during the first week of April in Europe?
I have some days off between 4 to 10 April. I'm trying to decide on where to go. Right now, I have three options:
1. Drive to Lake Garda (7 hours drive)
2. Drive to Lake Bled (7 hours drive)
3. Fly to Mallorca (2 hour flight)
If you had a choice on where to spend 7 days and you had your wife, 3-year old, and baby along, where would you choose to go and why?
I want to focus on relaxation and just being lazy. I would do some sight seeing, but not too much. My wife and I just want to recharge our energies while allowing the three year old to have some fun and burn off some of her energy.
If it was warmer, then Mallorca would automatically be my answer. But at this time period, it seems that the water is too cold even for the hotel pools. Lake Garda and Lake Bled will be colder than Mallorca, but I have seen some options for indoor pools.
Anyway, I wanted to get some ideas, so I can choose my destination.
Thanks!

Even though Lago di Garda is likely to be hopping with loads of holidaymakers, it is still rather early in terms of weather to get the most fun out of the lake. I suspect it will be too cool to be out in the evenings.
In the Euganean hills near Padova there are tons of resorts with indoor pools and thermal pools. With a car, you could combine it with some low key sightseeing to small towns and gardens, and of course there are major sights nearby if you feel ambitious.
