Where to stay in Florence?

I now have my hotels in Venice, Paris and Nice thanks to you all. Any advice on Florence hotels?

Last November we stayed at the HOTEL TORRE GUELFA, has 21 rooms and locatged about a half block from the Ponre Vecchio, was able to get room # 15 with a good view of Florence from
its patio. another which we used a number of times in past trips was the
HOTEL CONTINENTAL, which is located at the Ponte Vecchio, Both are excellant hotels..Richard of LaGrange Park,m Il.

We really enjoyed the Hotel Morandi alla Crocetta. Take a look.

(Sorry I forgot how to imbed a link)

A minor note to Trie2PakLite: it is not possible to "embed" a link here. Any URL from the http://www.fodors.com domain is automatically "embedded"; no other URLs can be.

On the original question, two other highly cited hotels are Casci and Beacci Tornabuoni.

Best wishes,

Rex

Thanks for the info. I will do the research on these hotels. Ira- I was thinking anywhere from 100-200 dollars. So far, I have booked La Calcina in Venice, Hotel Suisse in Nice, and Hotel Verneuil in Paris.
Good Choices? Without the help from this forum I would be lost. Thanks!

Hi Paula,

You might find this place, at the low end of your price range, interesting.

For even less, I can recommend the B&B Peterson.

Rex -- Call me "imbarrassed".

(Still recommend the Morandi alla Crocetta though I seem to be the lone voice.)
