Where to find the Road Maps for Italy

In particular, I am looking for Sardinia road map as I will be renting a car and exploring the island.
Any advice?

It should be pretty easy to find a map once you get there; they sell them in many gas stations, roadside bars, etc.

Touring Club Italiano published maps for all regions of Italy, including Sardinia at a 1:200000 scale. They are available at many Barnes and Nobles and Borders or can be ordered from Savvy Traveler in Chicago, www.thesavvytraveller.com

You can purchase a good Michelin Italy map at Barnes& Noble etc. My husband (a geologist and "map" person&quot usually copies/prints portions of these on the 8 1/2 x ll inch printer size paper. Much easier to handle in the car, and he sometimes highlights the route he intends to take. He numbers these pages. The large map is too bulky, but he takes it along anyway in his suitcase to look at in the hotel etc?

Thanks for the posts. I have checked in local B&N bookstores - they do not have any road maps of Sardinia.
