What's new and interesting in London since 1994?

Heading to London for the third time later this week. Last time there was in 1994. What is new and interesting to see that may not have been there in '94? I understand the area south of Thames has been re-developed with the Millenium bridge, London Eye, etc. What else can anyone recommend for visitors who have already seen the traditional sights?

I liked visiting recently the Queen's Gallery at Buckingham Palace. The collection is amazing. I found information on www.royal.gov.uk (official website).

Steve- there are many events taking place this year, due to the Queen's Golden Jubilee. The website Eye Spy listed is very helpful. I also like www.londontown.com. I know that the London Eye shuts down at certain points during the year, and this may be one of them, so you may want to look into that a bit more if that is something you are interested in seeing. You might want to visit the Tate Modern, and also have lunch in the cafeteria.

Opera House extension - you can walk though from Bow Street to Covent Garden: there are some historic costumes on display and a new bookshop. Outside performance times you can go into the restaurant/mingling area in the old Flower Market building.<BR>

Was The Globe open in '94? I don't remember when it opened, but that was one of my favorite things we visited this past September and it's very close to the London Eye.
