What to pack for Paris & Switzerland Trip in 1st/2nd week of July ?????

Hello Everybody ,

We are planning a trip to Paris and Switzerland in July (1st & 2nd week ) with our 5 year old kid..

Please let us know how will be the weather in Paris. We are supposed to carry more summer like outfits or winter will also be there ?? For Disneyland trip anything specific we need to pack??

In Switzerland we will be staying at Wengen,Zermatt & Luzerne. So How will be the weather here in July ?? We need to carry more winter clothes?? or more summer wears ??

Anything specific for 5 year old kid ??

If you want to know what the weather HAS BEEN then you should go to the wunderground.com weather site and look at the previous weather history section. You'll actually get totally accurate information vs. someone's possibly faulty recollection.

Up to you.

Can't imagine why you think there would be winter in July in the northern hemisphere. Paris may be warm or it may be hot as hell (90s and humid). Switzerland is likely to be warm in the valleys (but may cool down at night) but cold at the mountaintops. That does not mean winter clothes. It just means layers (tee, shirt, thin cotton sweater and very light jacket - with socks and shoes - sandals do NOT do well in the snow on top of the mountains.

But only summer clothing anywhere.

Also make sure you have a pair of waterproofed comfy walking shoes (it WILL rain), sturdy folding umbrella and a tissue weight rain jacket, preferably. (I use this as my only jacket in summer.)

Yes, but it is highly unlikely that Paris will be cold or even cool in July.

Take layers. Wear them all in the mountains, then just the lightest things in Paris.
