Traveling to Italy in Dec?? I have two phone cards for you.

If you will be relying on local phones in Italy, I have a barely used 5 euro Italy phone card as well as an international phone card that has almost two hours of time left on it for use by someone going to Italy in December. The local phone card expires Dec. 31, 2005 and the international card expires Sept 30, 2006.

Our upcoming travel plans unfortunately do not include a return to Italy so I would be happy to give someone these cards. Deborah

Any Tabacci (Tobacco) store would have phone cards. There's always one in a train station, near the ticket counter. Otherwise, magazine stands also usually sell them. Make sure you get the one that allows you to call home. I bought a card once, and it only allowed calls within Italy, no international calls. Or maybe I was dialing wrong? Regardless, I had to get a second card.
