I am headed to Germany in March and receently purchased insurance from www.insuremytrip.com . not only was I impressed with the coverage, it also offered $50,000 dollars in rental car insurance. for my wife and I, I paid 138.00. just for the rental car insurance it would have costed me 200.00, so I'm already saving money.

good luck,

Billy

Definitely check out insuremytrip.com. I used them for our trip to Italy, and just bought insurance from them again the other day for our Paris trip later this year. It's very good because it allows you to compare the policies offered by many companies and choose what you want. Very reasonable cost, and you can add the rental car insurance to many of them for a nominal additional charge.

I usually start with insurmytrip, and usually wind up with Travel Guard.

When it comes to car rental insurance, be sure to check with your credit card co, as they may cover it if you use their card.

I've purchase travelguard for major trips, but never had to use it. I decided on travelguard based on comments from this board.

Also through insuremytrip.com, I have used Travelex several times. Never needed to make a claim, but find the customer support through the website really good and lots of options to look at.
