Travel Articles: USA & UK Newspapers

I read and enjoy the travel sections of the NY Times and Washington Post for articles on Europe. Are there other web based daily's or weekly's with travel sections worth a look ?

B1-I'm thinking the U.K.'s Guardian newspaper has a Sunday travel section, as well as other regular travel articles.

JSmith regularly draws attention to travel articles that have appeared in the Times of London. The ones I have seen are very, very good indeed.

Another vote for the Times of London Sunday travel section - some very good articles. The Los Angeles Times Sunday section is also very good.

An online bimonthly magazine on Europe has several good articles every issue. Website www.eurodata.com

Thank you, Eloise. Invariably, The Times has at least one article of interest to me and those that I think have more general interest I post the addresses.

The first of the following is the International Herald Tribune.

I get the Guardian - the travel section is every Saturday - but I have to confess I only refer to the website when it would be useful to link a thread on here to it! But it's a quick-loading and easy-to-use site.

Interesting this post should come up. I just discovered yesterday that if you scroll to the bottom of the page you're on right now and click on any one of the blogs, it'll take you to another Fodors page where, if you scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page and look on the left, you'll see links to the following travel sections:

Travel Sections (Newspapers & Others)
BBC
Boston Globe
Chicago Tribune
Denver Post
Globe and Mail (Toronto)
Los Angeles Times
Macleans (Canada)
New York Times
NOLA.com (Times-Picayune)
Refdesk.com (Worldwide Newspapers)
Sacramento Bee
San Fran. Chronicle
Times (London)
USATODAY
Washington Post

Johnny Jet's weekly newsletter also has links to a lot of travel sections.

Like Jody, I think you might like to look at http://travel.independent.co.uk/europe/eastern/ and the same with western for views from Britain of places in Europe.

My first choice is the NY Times since you can now go back and research all past travel articles for free. Although its been mentioned I like USA today, it is simple yet informative.

We've all placed our thoughts on the BEST..now how about the WORST!

I really think our local paper..Orlando Sentinel..will be a contender!

If you read it..the only places that interest we Orlandians, are other Florida destinations or cruises! It is hard to even find a paid advert for somewwhere out of state or on a cruise ship! I do admit for a few weeks in deadest winter we might find a ski holiday featured,
