Transport from Paris Orly airport to Amsterdam

Does anybody have suggestions for the least stressful way for a family to travel from Orly to A'dam. They will be arriving mid-July from a long trans-Atlantic flight. It's a group of four - a senior who walks with a cane, a woman and 2 girls (9 & 12).

The problem is that Amsterdam flights leave from Charles de Gaulle on the other side of the city and I don't think the TGV goes anywhere close to Orly. Plus they will have bags for a months visit!

Has anyone had any experience travelling from Orly to CDG or Orly to Amsterdam??

Thanks

I would take a taxi to CDG, and then fly to AMS.

Yes, a taxi for four to Gare du Nord will cost about the same as public transit. Getting on the train will be a lot easier than negotiating CDG. About every three hours the Thalys is a through (no changes) train. Go for it.

Flying Paris/Amsterdam isn't a good option, due to the train service.

Another vote for taxi to Gare du Nord, train to Amsterdam city center, and will add a taxi on that end to hotel or wherever

Thanks a lot everyone - guess the taxi/train option wins. Just hope they have space for 4 suitcases - 2 taxis would be pretty pricey....

Hi liz,

The dispatcher will find you a van that can handle the 4 of you and your luggage.

Enjoy your visit.
