Hi A,

If you have unlimited funds, take a cab. Otherwise, there is bus service from MXP to the central train station.

Do you know where you will be staying? There is also train service to another station.

Taxi to Milan is 60E-90E. Trust me, I know. We got stuck there during their last strike.

Take the speed train. 11E from MXP to Cordo Station. From their you can take Metro anywhere....

Hope this helps.

The timing for that "speed train" is 40 minutes if that makes a differnce to you.

We are all assuming you mean Malpensa rather than Linate.

I wish I had taken the train; taxi was around 65 euros and very slow due to traffic.

Train to Cordona station in central Milano, closer i think to town centre than Milan Centrale station - you can also take air bus to Centrale station but getting a taxi there may involve long waits.
Where the 'Malpensa Airport Express' trains arrive at Cordona station, a smallish station, there are taxis right where you get off the train - much more convenient and manageable than Centrale, one of Europe's most hectic train sheds.
Airport buses also go from Malpensa to Como and other nearby towns. You can also take the airport train to Como by changing once before it reaches Cordona station.
From Linate airport, a secondary Milano airport, there are buses to Centrale station and to the Piazza S. Babla (different buses)
