Tour Guide in Slovakia
My wife and I will be in eastern Europe in a couple of months. We would like to go to Slovakia, but don't speak the language at all. While in Eastern Slovakia we would also like to do some genealogy work on her mothers family.
Does anyone have any recommendations of any guide that also could help on the genealogy?
Thanks

I knew a person who is or was a professional genealogist/tour guide specializing in Czech/Slovak work.

My girlfriend is Slovak and may be able to help. She is very resourceful, speaks excellent Englsh and is passionate about Slovakia. Let me know if you'd like to get in touch.

I hope I'm not too late to help out here. We first visited Slovakia in 2002 looking for my husband's great grandmother's grave site and, because of the work of the translater/geneologist/tour guide we hired, we found a whole family of second cousins who we now visit regularly. His name is Miso Razus and you can reach him at www.slovak-ancestry.com.
