Things to do in Revello?
I have the opportunity to stay at Palazzo Sasso through a program at work. I hear this is beautiful, but what is there to do there? How accessible is it to the other areas on the Amalfi Coast?
Are there beaches in the area? Will April or May (2 times I am considering) be beach weather?

Hi JES!!
Do you mean Ravello?? If so, there is much to see. The gardens of Villa Cimbrone and Villa Rufolo and the wonderful Byzantine mosaics of the Cathedral. And if you were there in July, there is the Wagner Festival.
As to beaches - Ravello is situated on a cliff-top so you would have to go down to Sorrento I think.
Hope this helps.

Revello is perched high above the Amalfi Coast - thus spectacular views from this rather quiet smaller town. Nice old church, old town area but seems not much to do here - but Amalfi, the neat town, lies just below Revello - i walked from Amalfi to Revello and back on a footpath - a paved footpath up a lush valley - only a few miles - but there also are frequent enough SITA buses going down to Amalfi, one of the Amalfi Coast's most beautiful old port towns and, along with nearby Positano, the Amalfi Coast tourist hub. Amalfi is a neat old town -classical square and church and also a beach area. Buses roll twice an hour from Amalfi to all areas along the Amalfi Coast. These are known as amongst the world's most dramatic bus rides as the sinuous road goes right along the edge of a cliff.
Thus in about an hour on these dirt-cheap buses you could be in Sorrento or Salerno - Sorrento one of Italy's most hopping resorts. Boats from here leave regularly for Capril and Ischia (in season boats may also go to these locales from Amalfi or Positano). Or from Sorrento a few-minute ride on the toy-like CircumVesuivana train drops you off at the entrance to Pompeii's famous ruins. From Salerno a bus takes you a few miles to Paestum, one of Europe's finest classical archeological sites, perched in a romantic setting.
Thus from Revello you can easily get to lots of great places quickly.
Take the bus to Salerno to be connected to the main rail line between southern Italy and Naples and Rome - you could be in Rome in three hours by bus/train!
Amalfi is generally rocky but there are some fine beaches - at Positano i believe but i'll leave it to others to comments on beaches as i don't really know.

The closest beach is at Castiglione (di Ravello)just before Atrani and is accessed by a long set of steps however April will be too early for the beach so consider May or later for your trip if you want to enjoy the beach.Atrani and Amalfi are reached by bus and Scala,Minuta and Pontone are just across the Dragone Valley
