The new Vuitton Foundation Museum in Paris
I'm awaiting the first reports from Fodorites on this new art museum. The photos of Gehry's building are stunning.

It's on my list as well. Here's another article (pre-dating the NYT): http://www.vanityfair.com/culture/20...-vuitton-paris
FWIW, the Louis Vuitton store in Singapore, over by Marina Bay, is also a pretty snazzy piece of architecture (designed by Peter Marino) and has, as I recall, a small museum. http://us.louisvuitton.com/eng-us/po...ore-marina-bay

WeisserTee, is the small museum in Singapore a modern art museum like the museum in Paris will be? I've certainly been in the area of the LV store in Singapore, though I'm not sure I've ever been inside.

Until Jan. 26 the Pompidou in Paris has an examination of Gehry's career. Lots of photos and models and recorded interviews. Considering how little of his work was actually built until relatively late in life, he has been a very busy senior citizen. Material on the Vuitton is included. Not so, however, for his makeover of the Cinematheque in Paris, which is mildly interesting but broke no new ground.

Kathie, I believe the Marina Bay LV building hosts changing exhibitions. Mostly modern art. When I was there, there was an art exhibition (I forget who it was) and an exhibition of vintage LV pieces.
Gehry fans might want to visit his project here in Basel, Switzerland. http://www.arcspace.com/features/geh...rtis-building/
Novartis offers architecture tours for groups of 10 to 20 people. https://www.basel.com/en/citytour/novartis-campus
You can get a good view at the exterior of the Gehry building without actually being on the campus. Be advised, however, that the site is undergoing a lot of construction and renovation, so things do look somewhat cluttered.

Am not always as wowed as others by Gehry's work, and pictures never capture the full impact and reality of any piece of architecture, but discounting for all that: Does anybody else have a reaction to the LV logo tacked on the side of the building?

There is a kid's science museum in the Bois de Boulonge, but other than that it is pretty much open space, so this appears to be quite a statement. Bois de Boulonge had at one time a reputation for nighttime vice and assignations, but that may have changed. Hollande was keen to do end it, but scandals of his own may have derailed that project.
