Teens in southern France
Newbie here.
After an exciting week in Paris, we & our 2 teens want to experience quieter life in a southern village/small town. Not sunny seaside; more medieval with rivers & lakes. What do you think about Pyrenees, Perigord or Languedoc? Any gite/village/activity suggestions?

If they like the mountains, the central Pyrenees near the Cirque de Gavarnie and the Col de Tourmalet would be ideal.
For medieval, the Dordogne area might be the place. Canoeing on various rivers is available.

Hi,
1st week in July, 2006. In Pyrenees Sauveterre-de-Bearn & St Jean Pied-de-Port look interesting. And in Dordogne maybe a village near Sarlat or other suggestions. They're social beings so want proximity to people but I want to relax so don't want another large town or city. We'll have a car for day trips.
