Storing luggage at Fiumicino Airport
Can you still store luggage at the FCO airport? If so, how complicated is it to drop off and pick up suitcases? We will be arriving in Rome and changing planes to go to Cairo (have 3 1/2 hour layover) but would like to leave one suitcase at FCO as we are returning there to take a Med cruise a week later. Would like to leave the cruise stuff at FCO if we can. Any problem going to where you leave the luggage then going back in to get the next flight? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

To add to the website AA provided.
You should have no problems in 3.5hrs.
You must leave the Airside of the terminal, check the bag and then go thru Security and Passport Control to get back to the Airside.
But I assume you'll have to do this anyway to check yourself and the other bags in for the Cairo flight?
I have never seen a line at the luggage storage area.
As the website says it's Terminal C Arrivals which is the groundfloor of the terminal.
It is at the *very end* of Terminal C -->[C][B][A]
The terminal is so narrow there it is impossible to miss.
You could stand at the front doors and with a good shove propel a luggage cart across its width or just aim for the luggage storage and hit it.

We will check one bag through to Cairo and the other bag to Rome. Both flights are on Alitalia and we arrive and depart from Terminal C. I just wanted to be sure the Left Baggage was still in operation and that we could get back in to our gate if we went out to deposit the suitcase at Left Baggage. Is the pick-up for the luggage the same place you drop it off?
