Steak Frites-What's The Deal?

Minute-steak THIN pieces of meat

Suspicious FRIED potatoes

Do people REALLY travel thousands of miles to eat these?

I suppose some people do. I don't. Why do you ask?

As a quick meal, can be quite tasty. I don't travel for it, but it's somewhat comfort food. I think of it as a better substitute for burger and fries

I have never eaten steak frites where a "minute-steak" was served to me. I think that a hanger steak is served in most restaurants--along with "french fries" and a salad made up of field greens.

The best steak frites that I have ever eaten was at Les Halles on Park Ave South in NYC.

#2 Balthazar on Spring Street in Soho (NYC).

This Manhattan restaurant serves nothing but steak frites:

You don't have to travel thousands of miles for steak frites.
